Yomi is a Super Player and a friend encountered in Baseball Superstars 2012.

History[]

Yomi was named by her grandmother, before the latter's death, after her dead dog, who was also named Yomi.

Yomi, before she died, was kept in the hospital due to a deadly illness. Because of this, she could never go out and play, which was something she always wanted to do. Upon her death, she became a ghost and was greeted by her grandmother, meaning that she previously died as well.

After becoming a ghost, Yomi would hang around the Yard, playing with the baseballs. She was eventually found by the Player and the two formed a friendship.

Personality[]

Yomi has a unique personality; she is, for the most part, happy, but can also have mood swings as well. This is observed when the player tries to talk to her at times; she can be happy once, but then be sad or angry the next time, possibly due to the player's actions.

Like any other character, her feelings can be hurt. Although she doesn't really take effect, she does get angry at the player, should they do any action that will anger her or hurt her feelings.

My Batter Mode Storyline

The "Good" ending for Yomi's storyline in the My Batter mode concludes with the player making the decision that Yomi should return back to the dead. As the story was reaching the conclusion, Yomi was getting weaker and weaker as her being apart of the living universe was anomaly that needed to be corrected (Pluto challenges the batter to a duel in the story over Yomi, winning or losing has no effect on the storyline). The story ends with the player accepting that he can't hold onto Yomi any longer and needs to let her return back to the dead. As Yomi is about to disappear, the player kisses her and she vanishes. She leaves the player with her old doll and a baseball glove the player gave her as a gift. The glove has a heart felt message inside that gets read out.

As a result of the good ending being concluded, the player earns 20 SP and unlocks the Overpower skill (requires 80 SP) and the best nickname in the game, Feminine Energy (Mighty Swing +1). I highly recommend if you aren't unlocking new endings, to go after Yomi's "Good" ending.

Unlocking the good ending requires the player to select Yomi over Bora and Leoni when given the choose between the two earlier in the story mode. Then when given the choice in the middle of season 8, choose Yomi over Bora and Leoni again.

Super Player[]

Yomi, as a Super Player, is a pitcher. As with all other Super Players that pitch, she has a deadly Super Pitch that will most likely lead to a strikeout.
